Dos and Don'ts of Instagram Content Creation

Dos and Donts of Instagram content creation

This may surprise you but content creation needs certain etiquettes for organic growth. With these tools and strategies you can grow massively:

Here’s how?

  • Niche down, to scale up: Don’t try to please millions, rather, find those 1000 true fans you would genuinely love to have a conversation with. Nobody likes a jack of all trades, but we do love those who are a master of their field!

  • Build streaks to gain momentum: Another way of saying, BE CONSISTENT. Divide your goals into smaller tasks, and take up 1 or 2 everyday. The idea is to set the bar so low, you won’t feel any resistance in showing up, so that you get the work done.

  • Spend 15-30 minutes after posting, replying to comments and keeping the conversation going. Don’t just post and leave the platform. You’ll be ghosting your followers.

  • Experiment with your content and reels. Getting more creative speaks to your audience about your efforts. So, avoid posting the same type of content.

  • Post content strategically. Only share what your followers will appreciate and what fits with your purpose. You don’t want your feed filled with irrelevant images and videos.

  • Only use hashtags that are applicable to your post, and not falsely attract users or manipulate the algorithm. It will look spammy if nothing else!

  • Posting Irregularly: Avoid posting once or twice a week, then disappearing for the quarter! Instead, have a fixed schedule, and a fixed number of posts and stories.

  • Using the templates everyone else is using: Using readymade templates will kill the purpose because it will look monotonous to your audience. Be sure to customize templates as per your personality, your niche and your social media aesthetics.

  • Ignoring the stats: Analyze the performance of your posts and readjust your content and strategies by making improvements.

If used correctly, these dos and don'ts can work wonders. Go hack the Instagram algorithm and get your following going & growing!

Make the most of Influencer Marketing like this:

Best Influencer Marketing Strategy

Many startup founders step away from influencer marketing thinking it’s out of their budget.

Now, we're not denying that it CAN get expensive when you are trying to reach actors/influencers who are well-known and have a huge follower base.

But there are a lot of other ways to make the best of influencer marketing that fits your budget.

Here are a few ways to:

1. Niche influencer marketing: Collaborate with influencers who are industry experts. Most of them are micro/nano-influencers (with a follower base of 0-10K) who believe in quality>>quantity in terms of followers and clientele.

These influencers work for clients who can add value to their personal brand. They believe in value gains over monetary gains.

PRO TIP - Don’t let the follower count fool you. Research suggests engagement is higher when influencers have fewer followers.

2. Product Collaboration: Relationship building between influencers and brands is the basis of influencer marketing. You’ll be surprised to see how valuable it is for influencers to have a bigger say in the product development process.

Co-creating products/services with influencers could prove to be a winning strategy for startups.

3. Sponsored Reviews: Believe me! they still work - especially when it comes from influencers. No wonder you see so many influencer reviews as ads on Instagram.

PRO TIP - Opt for influencers who are inclined towards your brand’s vision/mission and come up with a mutually beneficial collaboration and they should be happy to promote your brand.

You can also always use your loyal customers and employees for word-of-mouth marketing. Remember, community-generated content is always more convincing to your TG than studio-shot creatives.
